Sound is public, and auditory is private. Sound is transmitted to the human ear through the waveform, and human perceives the sound as a process that is superimposed and repeated many times.

I use the sink to represent the individual sound field in the enclosed space.
The wooden frame added to it is equivalent to the private space of the original bathroom environment, delineating a restricted sound boundary for it. In this video, a wooden stick is used to continuously overturn the sink to make sound, emphasizing the sound of the most familiar objects.
The sink is the most daily sounding device in reality. The sound of water flowing when people use it has become a mechanical form and a source of life sound filtered by hearing. In its sound system, if we want to emphasize and perceive the sound it emits, we must mobilize people's behaviour, occupy time, and make the sink become an event-like individual. The private environment of the sink determines that the perception of its sound is more personal.

I placed decibel detectors at different positions on the seashore, or put them in seaweed, and observed the changes of decibel detectors. In an empty environment by the sea, the changes in the sound are more obviously affected by different spaces. The beach is a public area. The sound monitored by the decibel in an open space is controlled by the environment, which is uncertain and does not belong to any sovereignty.

In the end I made a video and placed the sink in a closed river that no one cares about. This river represents the uninhabited empty urban environment, that is, the blank area. The river water slowly seeps in from the hole of the sink, slowly fills the sink, and floats on the surface of the water. The sound made during this process represents my hope as this sound creator to convey my perception of this blank space through sound, so as to take it as my own.
When the river completely submerged the sink and the sink completely sank to the bottom of the river, the main body of the sound returned to the surrounding environment, and my possession of the blank area ended.
