Left Ear, Right Ear is an installation made of eight Nokia phones. The first phone plays live FM radio broadcast, while the second mobile phone makes a call to the third phone next to it, and transmits the sound of the radio to the next phone through the call. The phones make calls and answer calls in turn, so that the sound of the radio at one end is transmitted to the other end. A sound amplifier is placed at one end for the audience to put on to hear amplified sound particles in a small area around the body. The slight grain of the radio, the vibration of the surrounding air and the sound of the heart beat inside the body are all amplified in the listening to form an intimate field.
