The Real Perform is a composition of four audio tracks, each of which has a main sound (or instrument) type, and is played by four different speakers, which is equivalent to four channels. A video of a conductor conducting these four speakers (just as conducting an orchestra) is projected on the wall.

Tech has added enormous texture to sound source (drone, lossy audio, hiss, etc.).In the final analysis, it is by means an approach to listening and attain sensory perception. During the composition of a piece of digitally made music, I involved four general types of sound source that cover the daily listening, and put them in four audio channels. I made a score illustrating the waves, texture and lasting time of each channel of this piece of music as an interpretation for the conductor, regarding to the performative method of interpreting music.
The sound track is made of codes, while there can still be humanity in the and execution of codes. Codes of medium can be performed and executed by human manipulation, as long as a common regulation is built for performers to get hold of the codes.

There is immediacy of the conducting, so the audience’s first sense is a direct and reasonable behavior between a conductor and the sound. In fact, the video and music in the work are recorded separately in advance, so it creates a detached immediacy. The rational existence of immediacy is due to the guidance of the conductor's body movements in the video and the audience's perception of the sound of different channels in the scene.

For the conductors, they choose their way to mediate audience’s perception of the performance. For this installation it is how this presentation affects the viewer's perception of expressiveness.
