Un-proofed is an interactive performance and an effort to uncover all the concealed signals and vast spatial perceptions inherent in our surroundings, through the act of listening. The set up includes 6 electromagentic microphones, a self-made instrument inspired by monochord and Vietnamese dan bau, and an acoustic guitar.

Audience walk into a listening room mapped with the electromagnetic microphones, where they will be invited to use any electronic device, either personal or public, to interact with the mics to create the ambient basis of the performance. Each contact from the audience evokes changes of audio and sonic landscape in the space and the intimacy is being listened to. The ensemble is also joined by the performance of a self-made monochord and an acoustic guitar whose resonances rise into the upper layers of the listening room, engaging with the spatial property of sound and audition. It aims to build a perceptual listening journey that moves from intimacy to immensity, from the microscopic grain of everyday signals to a cosmic awareness of sound. The presence of each audience becomes part of the composition.
